Finishing Instructions

What you receive: cabinets are rough-sanded flat to 120 grit with major blemishes filled. You finish-sand before priming and painting. Doors and drawers are installed. Pulls are not included.

Your preparation

1. Inspect every cabinet before you start, and report any defect before you paint.
2. Let the cabinets acclimate indoors, away from moisture.
3. If needed, touch up any small gaps or nail holes with a paintable wood filler.
4. Finish-sand before priming and painting, then remove all dust.
5. Prime with a quality primer suited to wood and MDF, then apply your paint.
6. Seal all surfaces and edges, including the inside edges of doors.

Paint or stain?

Every style shows whether it suits paint, stain, or both. Brushhollow has MDF center panels, so it is built for paint and staining is not recommended.
